What is Flow?

March 5, 2019

This article defines flow, the components of a flow state, and also explains in which situations it could have negative effects.

Flow, or being "in the zone" occurs when a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity.

This article explains what is flow in more detail, the components of a flow state as definded by psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi in 1975, and also the dangers that could arise if not managed well.
